2nd Goa Marian Congress &
12th Indian National Meet
“In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.”
— Our Lady at Fatima · 13 July 1917Two Days in the Company of Saints Francisco & Jacinta The Sacred Relics of the Little Shepherds of Fatima
The Sacred Relics of the child shepherds of Fatima will be present for veneration throughout the Congress — come and keep vigil with the little saints.
Be present with the little saints across both days of the Congress — venerate the Indian National Pilgrim Virgin Statue of the Peregrinatio Mariae, and journey on to the Crowning of Our Lady and the great Assembly of the 16th.
Come for both days — walk the full path of grace.
The Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Fatima
The image of Our Lady of Fatima is carried in solemn procession into our midst — to be crowned, venerated and honoured by the faithful through the great day of the Congress.
Solemn Entry
The Pilgrim Virgin is borne in procession into the assembly, welcomed with the waving of kerchiefs in joyful Marian devotion.
Crowning of Our Lady
The Bishop crowns the statue, honouring Mary as Queen of Heaven and Mother of the faithful gathered.
Time for Veneration
Following the Eucharistic Celebration, the faithful are given time to come before the statue in personal prayer and devotion.
Procession of Farewell
The statue is carried out in closing procession, sending the faithful forth under Our Lady’s mantle.
Come on the 15th to keep vigil with the Little Shepherds, and remain for the 16th to see Our Lady crowned and venerated — one unbroken pilgrimage of grace.
In 2002, through the efforts of WAF’s then National President Archbishop Henry D’Souza (of happy memory), the World Apostolate of Fatima in India received National Pilgrim Virgin Statues of Our Lady of Fatima from the Sanctuary of Fátima. We at the Goa Division have been blessed to be the custodians of these two statues — forming part of the worldwide Peregrinatio Mariae, bringing the Message of Fatima to the faithful, especially those unable to undertake a pilgrimage.
These statues have journeyed across India, notably visiting every parish in the Archdiocese of Bangalore in 2023. We are also blessed with the relics of Saints Francisco and Jacinta, further enriching the spiritual grace of this mission.
In the recent past, Our Lady has been welcomed into a number of parishes across Goa. The Pilgrim Virgin Statue remains available for visitation on request — to any parish in the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman, or any arch/diocese across India, upon meeting certain criteria.
